Inspired by the jagged architecture of the Gustavo Capanema Palace in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Rio embodies the buildings contrasting right angles and flowing curves. To emphasize its dramatic pattern, Rio has been complemented by a dazzling yellow and blue colour palette. The colour of Rio were specifically chosen to represent the vivacious energy of the Rio de Janeiro Carnival, held each year at the Anhembi Sambadrome, which was also designed by Oscar Niemeyer.
