2017: you were fabulous!

Wow … what a year it has been! If anyone had said to me this time last year, that by the end of 2017, Casa Botelho would have grown into what it is today, I would have laughed -out-loud and taken a large, awkward gulp of my dry martini. But to have predicted how far Casa Botelho has come would’ve been impossible – and to be honest, I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. In 2017. Casa Botelho has hit many milestones, including attending its first design festival, appearing on the front cover of an international home interiors magazine for the first time, creating its first textile collection, developing its first lighting table, producing its first rug design, and our first collaboration with a children’s charity in Brazil. While these are only the firsts, so much more has happened and instead of you having to read through a long list of words, I thought I’d create a fun infographic – Casa Botelho style! On top of all this, Casa Botelho tripled its sales from 2017! Today, Casa Botelho has an incredible range with the introduction of six new collections and more than 30 new designs in 2017 alone – even writing that still makes my head spin! And with this incredible growth, we’ve been able to do something that’s very dear to my heart… Giving back is an integral part of Casa Botelho’s philosophy, and with the launch of the Curvature Collection, we are donating £1 for every metre of fabric sold to Projeto Reconstruir – a wonderful charity supporting children in Brazil. As the collection was inspired by my beloved hometown, it seemed fitting that the funds would go towards assisting and improving the health and happiness of these kids. With the help and support of my fabric suppliers, technicians, engineers, furniture makers, collaborators, and our fabulous customers and followers, Casa Botelho has become an international brand that represents high-quality, masculine-glamour design, inspired by all the things I love most – symmetry, Art Deco, and my beautiful hometown in Brazil. The one thing I’ve been most dedicated to is introducing innovative and modern styles that showcase a new way to dress your home. Through clever use of illuminating, bold hues, geometric shapes and powerful finishes, Casa Botelhos’ signature masculine glamour will continue to reinforce its concept of seductive luxury, in the global design industry, in 2018. For this, I am so proud and incredibly thankful! I wish you all a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year! Until next time… stay jolly! The journey continues…
